Alone in Woodlands

Arun Eliot decided against the warnings of his adopted native American parents that the area of The woods he had planned to go solo camping was not safe that an ancient woodland spirit of hunger lives in that area. Arun Eliot decided to discard this as superstition and said," Mom and dad I'm a little too old for superstitions. I've packed enough food and drinks." He had not. He rejects the safety stuff they tried to give him saying I'll be fine."
On the drive there he was thinking about The Wendigo and how ridiculous of a legend it was.
When he arrived at the campsite and got his tent setup he noticed how eerily quiet the woods were. He opened a flaming hot popcorn chip bag, and ate one of the chips after another.
He heard his father's voice a little bit like it was a recording of his dad's voice calling out," Arun, come here. I need your help with something." Arun Eliot built up a fire. Thinking he was hearing things he roasted a couple hot dogs over the fire. He was on edge a little bit, So he decided to read a book in his tent. He heard an ear-piercing shriek, and then his own voice as like a recording," it's just a superstition I'm too old for superstitions."  The Wendigo ripped through his tent and Arun Eliot was never heard from again.
